Two Noxon High Students Join Prestigious Honor Society
The Noxon High School chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) formally welcomed its newest members, Sofia Pelobello and Chance McDaid, during the organization’s 2024 school year induction ceremony. Pelobello and McDaid joined fellow Mountaineers who were already part of NHS in taking the membership pledge, cementing their commitment to scholarship, leadership, service, and character—the foundational pillars of the nationwide academic society.
Selection into NHS marks outstanding academic performance and civic contributions. Noxon High School Principal Dave Whitesell lauded the students for their discipline and maturity, exhibiting traits that reflect highly on the values of both NHS and the school community. Through individualized service initiatives and collective projects, Pelobello and McDaid will strive to enact the NHS motto of “Noblesse oblige” – nobility obligates – in order to create meaningful positive impacts on others.
